aaaaahhhh im feeling so dizzy now! just like a hangover, minus the headache. AaaaA i dunno why, i just feel so .. flOaty? haha i got home like this.
first i went for monthly shoot today. im satisfied with my score of 580, because i was in good control of myself during the shoot. :) well overall i'll say this is a good and fond last shoot of the year. the last competition of the year ends off at a good note. 580 - personal best with my Walther LG300xt gun!
right now im having mixed feelings towards my gun. on one hand i find that personally i do not prefer the walther rifle due to its CG and 'gun feel'. i have trained for a little more than 6months with this rifle, which is a considerable amount of time. still i feel that the feinwerkbau suits me the best. i know some people will blame everything on the rifle bLah blah and BLaH!, but to me my shooting philosophy is : its my finger that pulls the trigger. (ok thats a direct translation from chinese)
so after struggling 6 months adapting trying to ride on the benefits of walther and playing down its weakness, i must really say it has been a great companion to me during today's competition, or during every competition for that matter. today was extremely hard fought, (im so tired now!) and i must say it has served me well, giving me the best score in a while on the last competition of the year, on its final shootn with me. to me, its significant.
i dont know about other shooters, but i like to think that my rifle is sentient, and not just a lump of metal. thats why i prefer to stick to a gun and not change once every 2 months. (the wooden grip feels warm in my hands, kinda like its alive hehe).
well it has been a great experience with walther. though this year has been really hard and depressing, i have learnt a lot with regards to shooting :D
so next year i'll b using p700 alu. i hope i will get the benefits and convenience of a compressed air rifle combined with the superb gun feel fwb is renowned for.
