Rewound.

Stabbed by the hand of whom I love,
Tears from the eyes that speak,
Gentle caresses from the velvet touch I yearn,
Sunshine in the smile that captivates,
Cuts from the heart that bleeds another,
Words that tear asunder,
Embraces meant for forever,
A true love never lies.

Anger, hatred and pain drowns,
Cries that were never heard.
Moonlight that shines dark on us,
It frowns upon a broken heart,
And foolish games played,
But a true love never lies.

And the moon falls behind thin clouds,
And sunlight appears;
A dagger is otherwise sheathed,
And sad, hurtful words have died on lips.
No longer do we touch;
And fleeting coldness of something dear removed,
Replaced quick with hollow, empty warmth.
Tears that ran dry dried are back again; but no they won't fall-
Just balancing on eyelid at the loss of something not quite defined.
And hearts, perhaps are mended.

No, none but perhaps of this happened,
Lifted like ink from canvas,
The hurtful river of love had never flowed;
Lost in the future as we fall backwards,
Tumbling right through the sun,
Right into the dawn.

When I first saw you.

Rewound.
