i see a tree
in a pure courtyard of green and gold
planted from a child`s hand
of love and joy.
through the spring
i see the tree
admist the sweet dew that clings onto
the very air before me
a grey tree of renewed spirit and hope
my grey tree.
through the summers
i see the tree
admist the abundance of sunlight
the tree o` so grows into
a green tree of love and endless joy
my green tree.
through the autumn
i see the tree
admist the creep of winter
and falling leaves
a brown tree of strength and life
my brown tree.
through the wintesr
i see a tree
admist the cold and white flakes from heaven
and fires that warm a heart
a white tree of giving and pure joy
my white tree.
but thruogh the seasons
through the passing of time
and footprints in the courtyard
no longer see or love this tree i shall
for admist a dark courtyard of death and decay
my tree
my tree of life
deviod of love hope and joy
admist a dark flurry of people and deeds
this tree of life is no more.
